ADAHK’s inaugural charity golf tournament was held for 26 August (Monday) this year. Donors and golf enthusiasts are invited to participate in this event to showcase their golfing skills and support a charitable cause at the same time. Every support you make means that we can carry on our mission to create an everlasting impact on the lives of people with disabilities. Liu Tung Mui 'Words from the Heart & their Interpretation' Newly Published

The renowned local artist with disability, Liu Tung Mui, Tung Tung, started painting at an early age and has developed a strong character in her art, with which, she has gained wide recognition and hounorable awards, including the “2005 Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award”. Striving over three decades in the local art scene, Tung Tung’s new book is divided into eight chapters, documenting her growth, her daily living, family and development of her creative path, as well as near hundred unpublished paintings from her new series from 2008 to 2019.

Cross All Borders
Cross All Borders

Cross All Borders is one of the ongoing, committed projects of Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong. This thematic arts festival is held every year alternating between performing arts and visual arts. It aims to uncover the great talents of budding artists with disabilities and encourage the pursuit of meaningful life through arts activities, as well as providing opportunities for the audience to appreciate the performances and artworks of these talented artists so as to enrich Hong Kong’s cultural landscape.

 

Attracting a total of over 10,000 artists and participants, Cross All Borders Festivals have won overwhelming response from budding artists with disabilities, as well as wide acclaim from the general public. With the supports of other foundations and organizations, artists with disabilities who were uncovered in Cross All Borders have achieved substantial accomplishments within their art field. Besides collaborating with the local professionals, they also got the opportunities to participate in overseas events and competitions, absorbing experience to pave their way to professionally development.

Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong (ADAHK) has been established as a non-profit and charitable organisation since 1986. The Association is a member of the Access/VSA International Network 2024 and The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. With the vision of ‘Arts are for Everyone,’ ADAHK believes that everyone has the potential and talent for creativity and a right to enjoy to the fullest beauty and vitality of the arts. We are dedicated to providing holistic services to support the development of the arts amongst people with disabilities. We promote equal opportunities for people with disabilities to have access to and excel in the arts, and advocate for an inclusive society through the arts.

'Arts with the Disabled in Hong Kong' Online Channel and Archive (THE Platform) is the first online platform and database in Hong Kong which researches, documents, and presents the development history, artists and artworks of local arts with the disabled. Aiming to carry on the past and open up the future, THE Platform brings together disabled and non-disabled who engage in the arts with the disabled, and hopes to create a one-stop portal facing towards local and international art sectors and audiences.
