Shum Hang Fu

Performing Arts
Shum Hang Fu is an Artist with Disabilities from Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong. In 2003, he lost his left hand in a traffic accident, which marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life. After publishing his autobiographical novel ‘If I Were Whole Again’ in 2018, he pursued professional training in the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre's ‘One-man Stage Masterclass’. In 2020, he created and performed the solo play ‘The Lost Understanding’, based on his personal experiences. In 2023, he was invited to be a guest presenter at the 31st Hong Kong Drama Awards, and in 2024, he became the playwright for the preview theatre production ‘Choices’.

Shum Hang Fu is also a violinist with the Hong Kong Enharmonica and a host of the Hong Kong Radio programme ‘Inclusive HK’. Through various opportunities, he works to break down barriers between people in society and actively contributes to the integration of the disabled and able-bodied.
