‘The Beauty of Inclusion in Wheelchair Dance’

‘THE Platform Arts Dialogue’ series is an international online series for artistic exchange, aimed at inviting artists from different countries to share their experiences, sources of inspiration, and future plans related to arts with disabilities. In each episode, we will delve into artists’ unique perspectives and cultural backgrounds, promoting international communication and collaboration in arts with disabilities.

In the masterclass, two wheelchair dancers and two able-bodied dancers come together to explore the art of dance. Under the guidance of Mr. Lin Hongjie, assistant artistic director of Dua Space Dance Theatre, the dancers will learn how to use their bodies to create unique dance works that showcase an inclusive and diverse dance culture. This masterclass aims not only to enhance the rapport and collaboration among the dancers, but also encourages participants to break through physical boundaries and experience the limitless possibilities of inclusive dance.
