YUEN Man Wai
Yuen Man Wai has not been withheld from the path of starting his own career, despite his gradual loss of vision since teenage due to Macular Degeneration. On the contrary, he became the founder of “People with Visual Impairment Balloon Twisting Working Group”, where he shares the fun of balloon twisting with the public.
Man Wai has developed great interest in balloon twisting since the first time he came across the art by chance, and has been learning and practicing very hard on it. His effort was paid off and affirmed by the community. He treats balloon twisting as his lifelong career.
Man Wai achieved a Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) in 2015. He is the only CBA with visually impaired in Hong Kong.
Man Wai is currently a balloon twisting instructor, a guest performer and venue decorator at carnivals, birthday parties and many other events. He hopes to organise more activities or interest groups to share the fun with the public, as well as to encourage the life of others with his own life experience.
