Born in Heilongjiang, Ethen moved to Hong Kong in 2014 and enrolled in secondary three class at Ebenezer School. A music lover since early age, he started learning erhu at 12 and has now six years of experience. He won the Second Prize in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, the Gold Medal in The 5th International Chinese Instrumental Competition, and The Most Outstanding Performer Award (Children and Youth) in “Cross All Borders: Hong Kong Festival Showcasing New Performing Artists with Disabilities 2015”.

Ethen’s dream is to become an erhu performing artist and educator. He plans to continue enhancing his erhu skills and participate in different competitions to further improve himself. He also seeks to attend more concerts of renowned artists to learn musical expressions and interpretations. The most important thing for him is to strengthen his English capability and study hard in order to gain entry to The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
