Yang Enhua

Yang Enhua is a visually impaired musician who began learning the erhu at the age of twelve. He is currently studying at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Erhu under the tutelage of Mao Qinghua, the co-principal Huqin of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.
Yang has demonstrated extraordinary talent in various public competitions. In 2022, he was awarded the VSA International Young Soloist Award and gave his solo debut concert at Kennedy Center, Washington D.C., the United Stated. He held a first solo concert at the No Limits, Hong Kong Arts Festival, showcasing his musical talent and artistic aspirations. He has collaborated with multiple musical ensembles, including the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, and has had the opportunity to engage in cultural exchanges in countries such as the United States, Germany, France, and South Korea. He is now also studying with various world-renowned erhuist in Hong Kong and China such as Chen Jiebing.
Yang has actively explored other artistic domains in recent years. He has not only studied the intangible cultural heritage of ‘Dishui Nanyin’ but also participated in the musical ‘Sing Out’ demonstrating his diversity and creativity across different art forms.
